Forte is a vibrant community choir that welcomes adults of all singing abilities, regardless of prior experience. We pride ourselves on being a non-auditioning group, creating a supportive and inclusive environment for both non-music readers and those with established musical backgrounds. If you have a desire to sing but haven’t found the right fit, Forte offers a welcoming space for you to explore your vocal potential.

Our choir is built on the joy of singing in harmony, and we engage with a diverse range of musical genres. From contemporary popular songs and timeless melodies to show-stopping tunes from musicals, powerful sacred pieces, and captivating world music, our repertoire is carefully selected to offer something for everyone. This variety ensures that every session is inspiring and enjoyable, allowing members to discover new styles and expand their musical horizons.

Rehearsals are held at 50 St Mary's Ave, Purley on Thames, Reading RG8 8TE a lovely community venue with plenty of parking. This relaxed setting provides a wonderful opportunity to connect with fellow singers, socialise, and enjoy the pleasant surroundings. At Forte, our focus is on creating a nurturing atmosphere where members feel comfortable expressing themselves through song. Whether you are a seasoned vocalist or simply curious about exploring your voice, Forte is the perfect place to begin or continue your musical journey.
